A New year

A new year is here, and I'm extremely happy about that. Hoping for a year free of drama, accidents and bullshit. Looking forward to a year of love, happiness and family!!

The year started off great, hung around the house for NYE, we never go out, to many drunk people on the roads and we won't risk that for Donovan. The next day my mom and I took Dono shopping and to Build-A-Bear so he could use his giftcard from Grandma Bark.

After shopping and getting Dono's stuff animals we went back to my mom's house where Dono felt the need to get inside Ruby's cage........crazy kid!!

Couple days after that, Dono wanted to use his shaving set he got for Christmas....had to snap pictures of it, so cute. He also did a Home Alone move.

That weekend the Packers played in the playoffs, so we went to Nora's for her weekly Packer get together. We watched the game, ate good food and did a couple Snooki hairdo's.

The next night we went over to Erik's mom's house for Christmas with that side of the family. The kids open their presents, we ate some food and had some drinks.

More presents to go....

Then we took some family pictures of the kids with Auntie Jess and then with Grandma Jill.

On the 14th of Jan, Dono had his first pee in the potty, we were so excited. After that he only went a couple of more time.....took us such a long time!!

Then the 20th roller around, Dono's 4th birthday. We had cousin Lily come over that morning to spend two nights with us. They had a blast, painting, eating cake, tearing our place apart, watching movies, staying up late watching movies. Overall Dono had a great birthday.
                                                                   Opening his presents......

                                                                 Favorite Cousins!!!!!!!!!

I went and picked Dono's cake up that morning, ordered him two. The spiderman one was for his actual birthday...he's a spiderman freak!!

I always decorate the house with handmade or painted signs for all holidays, esp Dono's birthday.

Then it was time for him to blow out his candles...Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Dooonnnnoooo, Happy 4th Birthday to you!!!!

There were Spiderman rings on his cake, he loved that! Wore them for like a week straight.

The next night we went over to my grandma's for dinner, we brought along Dono's cake so sing happy birthday to him again. He liked that. I LOVEEE grandma's home cooking, it truely is the best. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful woman like her in my life!!!

Usually on the weekends, I'll run to the store before the boys wake up and get chocolate milk and donuts. This is how my little Packer fan eats his donuts.

I also stopped and picked up Dono's 2nd cake that I ordered him, this one was Buzz Lightyear!!

After donuts we got ready and headed over to Auntie Nora's to watch the playoff game!! Of course our beloved Packers won.....headed to the Super Bowl!!! We brought Dono's cake along and sang happy birthday to him over there.

Dono got his head pushed into his cake after that!!

The next day, Dono got his birthday present from K3. He was so happy to get a truck to put his guys in!

Dono being the silly kid that he is, took the topper off his Spiderman cake and wanted me to turn it into a belt for him. His Spiderman belt!

December

It's December, gosh this year has flown by! Almost 2011

This month started off with Dono wanted to paint all the time, I have no problem with that considering I paint all the time too. Guess he was just trying to be like his mama.

Here is Mr. FiddleStix sitting on our TV stand!! That's where he was sitting the morning of the 1st, waiting for Dono. He brought with him paint and painting books for Dono.

I also do an advent calendar every year, I made one last year and everyday Dono gets to take a treat out of whichever number day it is.

Here is December 1st, he was super excited about it this year, more so than last year.

After getting his special treat, him and daddy decided it was time to wrestle! Silly boys!!!

The next morning, Mr. FiddleStix was waiting for Dono on our bed, with a special treat, his favorite.....M & Ms.

And when we got home that night, Mr. FiddleStix was sitting in our palm tree....what a goofy elf.

December 2nd, Dono getting his special treat from the Advent calendar!

The morning of the 3rd, I woke up first to find someone had used our bathroom over night....I couldn't believe what a mess he made!!!

He left Dono such a nice little note! That night I forgot to take pics with his advent calendar, couple days later we took pics of all the days we missed. Was a busy week!!

The next morning, Dono woke up to Mr. FiddleStix using his paints! Dono was excited to start painting right away along side him!!

After we painted for a bit, Dono wanted to start building with his blocks, we had a great time. Then he wanted me to take pics and show it off. HIS CREATION!!!

That night I had to get Mr. FiddleStix ready for the next morning! I decided to make boots for Mr. FiddleStix out of dollar bills!! Found that idea on the internet.

I also had to get Dono's stockings ready, Saint Nick came that night as well....he had a very good morning to say the least when he woke up!!

So the morning of the 6th Dono woke up to a bunch of stuff, stuffed his stockings with candy, paints, different activities to do, puzzles and stuffed animals.

The next day our friend Danielle came over and brought baby Brady, finally, first time we got to see him since he was born last month!! He's growing so fast but oh so tiny still!!!!

Dono was super happy to get to spend time with cousin Brady and even got to hold him and give him kisses, he loved that!!

The next night I peaked in our bedroom and caught Dono acting silly like always!

Couple nights after that, caught him acting silly again. Playing with his favorite stuffed elephant.

That weekend I went out for my best friend and Dono's godmother (Nora's) bday. Her 25th! We had a blast, went downtown, hung with good friends and let loose.

The next morning, sombody woke up with silly hair....take a guess who!!

On Nora's actually birthday we went out for a drink to celebrate....she had to get on the pole!

It's Christmas Eve, after working a half day we headed over to Erik's grandma's house for dinner with the family and to open presents.

Dono got so much stuff, trains, toys, clothes, money, candy and even a brand new TV for his bedroom! After opening gifts, we had to take our family pictures. Erik's grandma always has a big list of pictures she wants to take. Here are our family pictures.

We then went home with two carloads of stuff, mind you Erik and I drove seperately. We then put Dono to bed and had to get our presents under the tree for Dono from Santa.

Christmas Day morning, Dono got to see that Santa and his reindeer ate the carrots and cookies he had left out for them. He was so excited, then he got to open all his gifts.

And even more presents.......took forever!

After presents, we got ready to go to my Grandma's house for dinner and presents for Xmas Day. We took some family pictures, ate some good food and had some good company.

Erik and I never take good pictures, this just proves why. He always has his eyes closed.

Then we took family pictures, since we never get one for the 4 generations, Erik operated the camera, most of the pictures had my head cut off. I love Dono's look in the first one.

Mom also brought her new puppy, Ruby...she's a sweetheart.

We got Dono a bunch of games for Christmas so the next couple of nights we decided to have family game night. It was so much fun!

Dono ended up winning, Cooties, I came in second and Daddy....didn't even get anything, not even a head or a body....he was salty.

The next night we played Hi-Ho Cherrio, Daddy won the first game and he def had to show that off since he completely failed at playing the night before.

Then Dono got mad that daddy was winning so he started crying.....poor kid :)

The next night Dono colored a picture for grandma Tracy whose 40th birthday was the following day!

On my mom's birthday, the 29th we went out to celebrate her turning the big 4-0!! Happy Birthday Mom....Love u!!
